Yes, yes, yes....

I just haven't took the time to post. There has been some (a lot) of sewing done in the last month but most of it has just been mind easing work.

We received a new grand nephew last month and within a week, I pulled this together. The pattern comes from http://www.redbootquilts.com and truly easy to make.  This is the second one of Toni's patterns I have attempted and I still am impressed with all the directions.

There has also been a little more work on the borders for Celtic Soltice, a Bonny Hunter mystery quilt. I am trying something new so taking my time on this.  Also I have tried to make a pair of slippers. The first set were too small as I hadn't added the 3/8" sew line. Also there was no way I was able to get my foot inside so the next set pattern was enlarged by 110% which almost too much but worked to make the pattern easier to make. Here is the end result.  I think I will stick to quilting !   Also, I tried my hand at making a pillow form and a table runner.

And... In between all that I have been making nine patches, flying geese and four patches of different sizes, trying to use up some of the smaller scraps and cut sizes I have on hand.  So as you can see, I have been sewing, just not doing so great at the blogging part.

Whoops,, almost forgot about a qal that Judy from Patchwork Times had designed.  Again, changed the colors to try something new but....

I still have to attach the borders.  I had forgotten to square up a few blocks and that played havoc with the finished size. Oh well learning with mistakes seem to be my mantra.  Til next time....
