Spoilt like crazy
The tote bag is zippered so I will be able to take along quilts I am working on and not worry about losing any pieces.
She sent along a kit called Nine Block from the Quilts of Gee's Bend. This is the first kit I have ever owned and I love the colors. After I get the Orca Bay mystery quilt and leaf quilt finished, I think this will be on the list.
I love the Journal book and it is signed by Chris. I am sure that I will be using this to jot down my ideas for sure.
Now the picture above is something that I am not familiar with... Anyone know what these are???
She also sent some notions... snaps, pens, sequins, fairy embroidery scissors (love, love, love them), chopsticks, plant stick, and a tape measure. Did I mention that I was being spoilt?
The Orca Bay quilt is still a long way from putting together. Step #6 would have been faster if I had squared up the 2" HGS as I had made them. Oh well, live and learn. I have 17 of both the light and dark stars made now and have the final HGS squared up and ready to go. Last night I cleaned off most of the string blocks and only have to finish removing the paper on the 3 1/2" stringed blocks. Like I said before, learn by trying.
Well that's all for today. Hopefully will have a picture soon of some of the blocks finished.
